Eve Brast - 03/10/2012 Dear elders and brethren, I wanted to share a miraculous testimony that I know will encourage all of my brethren. A couple of weeks ago a "temporary" filling that a dentist had put in one of my molar teeth fell out after 19 years. The tooth had originally needed a root canal and a crown but I couldn't afford it at the time, so he put a staged filling on it, but warned me that it would only last 3-5 years and then I would be forced to have a root canal and a crown placed onto it. When the filling fell out, the root was exposed and very painful. I could hardly eat or drink anything. Especially things hot or cold or that had sugar in them because the pain was so severe. It would also just flare up and start aching, even when I wasn't eating or drinking something. My husband prayed a very short, simple prayer with me that the Father would take the pain away and fill my tooth with new enamel, since we did not have any insurance or finances to go to the dentist. After he prayed, my husband said, "It's done!" But I could still feel the pain throbbing and radiating through my jaw. I looked at him like, "Is that it?" and he smiled at me and went back to the UBM teaching he was listening to on the computer. So I proceeded to pray in the Spirit with a little more importunity and imagine the pain lifting off the side of my face. After about 10 minutes, the pain just lifted off my jaw with complete and total relief! The hole in the tooth was still there but the pain had gone. The next day, I came into the house holding my jaw again in pain. My husband met me at the door and said, "Don't doubt; just believe". So again I prayed in the Spirit and used my imagination to envision the pain lifting off me and it did again! My mom found out from my uncle about the trouble I was having with my tooth and called me up to tell me she would pay for me to go to the dentist. I thanked her but told her that I really wanted to believe the Father for this miracle and that Eddie and I were standing in faith that He would completely restore my tooth. I could hear the doubt in her voice as she said, "Well, alright. But you know my offer still stands, if you want to go to the dentist". After I hanged up with my mom, I prayed to the Father that He would glorify His name through this miracle and show my family that He does honor faith and that the righteous won't be put to shame for His namesake. Emboldened by the word of my testimony to my mom, I then started to imagine new enamel growing over the hole in the tooth and thanking the Father for being my dentist and as the days went on, the hole became smaller and smaller and I feel the new enamel where the hole used to be! Now I can eat and drink anything and there is no pain at all anymore! Praise the Father that by the stripes of Jesus Christ I was healed! He really does provide in the wilderness and His power is truly made perfect in weakness. We do overcome by the word of our testimony. Blessed be His name!
