They Shall Cast Out Demons (2)

In part (1) we saw what is the best foundation for casting out demons. We found that mostly to be holiness and faith. (2Co.7:1) Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Mar 16:17 And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; As we saw it is the job of all believers to cast out demons.

What are demons? Contrary to some opinions they are fallen angels according to scriptures. Psa 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, Wrath, and indignation, and trouble, A band of angels of evil. (These are demon spirits who are used by God to judge sinners and to sometimes humble His ministers. In Pauls case he was given a spirit to weaken him so he would not be exaulted. He was not given a sin demon.) 2Co 12:7-9 And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger (Angelos = Angel - translated angel 181X out of 188 occurrences). of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch. 8 Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Rev 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels going forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; 8 and they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. These demons rebelled against God and were kicked out of the third heaven down to the second heaven and here at last down to the earth.

We are seeing on a large scale now rebellion and faction in the Church and Government. As demons rebelled against God so do their demonized hosts. This rebellion is against all authority and it is against the laws of the Church, the Word, and government, being the constitution, etc. Rebellious people are demonized people. All authority is from God and must be obeyed. Rom 13:1-5 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Therefore he that resisteth the power, withstandeth the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. And wouldest thou have no fear of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same: 4 for he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. Col 3:22 Servants, obey in all things them that are your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord: Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit to them: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this were unprofitable for you. Rom 2:8 but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation,

Should we fear to cast out demons? I have never been hurt in any way casting out demons. Our Lord Jesus delivered us out of the dark powers of demon spirits and their effects when he delivered us from sin. (Col. 1:13) who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love. We can use this knowledge and promise to manifestly deliver ourselves from these dark powers through faith. These spirits administer the curse upon mankind because of rebellion against His Word, but Jesus delivered us from sin and its resulting curse. (Gal. 3:13) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us... Since this is so, we have been given dominion over these forces. (Luk. 9:1) And he ... gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. (10:19) Behold, I have given you authority … over all the power of the enemy…

We should be doing everything our Lord Jesus did. Jesus went on to say, (Luk.11:23) He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. So you are either going to be “gathering” or you are going to be “scattering.” That means you are either going to be on the attack or you are going to be on the run. The word “scattereth” there is from the Greek word skorpizo, and this is where we get the English word “scorpion.” It’s from the same root as the Greek word skorpios, meaning “to penetrate and to put to flight.” When a scorpion stings with its tail, it penetrates and puts to flight because of the pain and misery it inflicts. Jesus spoke about scorpions. (Luk.10:19) Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you. If you believe and not fear they cannot hurt you. In the kingdom of the devil, scorpion spirits make you run from them. These are spirits like fear, paranoia, rejection and its fear. All types of fears make us victims of the Devil and should be treated like demons and cast out. 2Ti 1:7 For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Although righteous people do cast out demons with out being filled with the Spirit, I suggest everyone get filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidences. The Spirit of God will lead you in casting out demons and He will impart power and authority to you. I was once ministering in a mission Church when deacon came to me saying that a man in the mission had been filled with demons and he was going to cast them out. I sensed he was full of himself and not the Spirit so I suggested he get filled with the Spirit first. He evidently ignored me because the Preacher there called me to tell me that he had gone to the mission and attempted to cast out the demons and the demonized man jumped up and chased him through the plate glass door in the front of the mission shattering it and cutting himself up. He screamed for the first christian who passed by him laying on the ground to get the demons off of him. The young christian not having seen or done anything like that commanded the demons to loose him and they did but the deacon went to the hospital. This scared the preacher who asked me if I would go and exorcise the man. I said Ok and the preacher and his secretary followed behind me but stopped at the door on the end of this long room and watched. I marched up to the man named Jim and when he saw me approaching he rose up like a big ole bear with both arms reached out to grab me as his features changed. Immediately I shouted “SIT” and he immediately did just like an obedient puppy.

So I was casting demons out of him when the Spirit told me that the demons came in through the TV. So I said, “Jim what are your watching on this TV?” He showed me some skin flicks that he had so I was casting those demons out too. Then the demons asked to enter the dog. I looked around the room and saw no dog so I told them to enter the nearest cockroach and I am sure there is a crazy cockroach somewhere. I didnt know till it was all over that their was a dog on the other side of the wall where a woman was visiting her husband in the same facility with her pet. Then the demon wanted to enter the secretary which made me suspicious of her and the preacher. I found out later they were having some kind of affair which would give the demons permission over them. They rightly waited at the door but it was not far enough. I ended up casting out many demons there of all kinds. People who end up in paces like that many times have many problems.

Should all demons be cast out? Anyone who repents may have their demons cast out. In Paul's case above it was a demon to weaken him not to pervert him as comes on sinners. Those who are in willful disobedience are many times turned over to demons for a time of chastening. Heb 10:26-27 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. 1Co 5:1-9 It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one of you hath his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing, 4 in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. These demons either wont come out, or if they do to honor your faith, they will come back until there is repentance. This man repented and was received back into the fold in 2 Corinthians.

Those who refuse the Word of correction but continue in willful disobedience are turned over to demons for reprobation (rejected by God). Rom 1:28-32 And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful: 32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.

How do we cast out demons? As we saw “in my name shall they cast out demons”. In my name, of course, can be using the name of Jesus. But a deeper meaning is clearly here also. “Name” in the Greek means Nature, Character, and Authority. “Nature” means according to the principles of the Word which is the nature of Jesus. “Character” means the way Jesus would do it. “Authority” means according to the authority given to us by Jesus to cast out demons.

Then it is best to identify the demons. This does not mean we have to know their name although that is very useful and causes them to lose their grip. Demons can be identified by their nature and character they impose upon people. For example the list we already read is an example. Filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, and of course many more. In the same text lust demons are given to the rebellious. Rom 1:24-27 Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: 25 for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due. In the faction rebellion in the government and Church demons of vile passions, lusts of homosexuality and bisexuality and lusts for the opposite sex also are given. So just a talk with the demonized person can identify much of the problem if they will confess their sins and be forgiven. Otherwise God can give discerning of spirits or word of knowledge of the demons.

Also we can demand in the name of Jesus that they tell us their name. The demonized person can help you in this. Because sometimes they hear the name internally when the demon speaks and sometimes they speak through the person to us. Sometimes they give their name as the nature of the sin as we have seen. Sometimes they give names of people they have previously inhabited, which can be foreign or ancient names. I have many times heard the demon speaking out of the person telling of their sins which can then be repented of by the person and then cast out. Sometimes the demons speak lies in which case you can command them to speak only the truth or just shut up. The demonized person often can feel where the demon is in their body by unusual effects, pain, queasiness or pressure and you can command them out of that area and out of their body. It is very abnormal for only one demon to be in a person. They always invite their kin to come in with them. This can increase in number until the person repents. Some people like the Gadarean demoniac are not mentally conscious enough to make a decision or be cognizant of what they are doing or saying. And sometimes they have no control over what they do or say. In such cases the minister of deliverance can go it alone and command the demons out so the person can choose God.

You are the one in authority. If you know this they do too. If demons attempt to be violent command them to stop and sit down. If they ramble on or start bragging on you like they did to Jesus just tell them to shut up. Sometimes they will express hatred towards you. Control the conversation. Don't accept your demonology or doctrines from demons. Often they will tell you they have a right to be there but if a person has confessed their sin they are under the blood and the demons have no rights. 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Often they like to hide or fake coming out. They can come out with signs like choking the person, throwing up, screaming, cursing, hissing, tearing the person or throwing them around, etc. Command them to stop. If they hide command them to come forward and cast them out. Then go to the next one. The head demon pushes other demons forward to sacrifice them in hopes he will escape. This can be useful because when you get to him he has no support. Sometimes they pass on the headship to other demons when they are cast out.

When demons are cast out the person needs instruction on how to keep them out or they may come back worse. Mat 12:43-45 But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and findeth it not. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this evil generation. Notice that even the demons Jesus cast out in his generation came back sometimes. When the demons find a person empty after they have received such grace from God they can come back. A person should fill their life with the life of Christ through incorporating the Word into their life. They are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit and become a disciple of Jesus not men.

Being in the Bride is a great reward and they will be given a great reward; don’t miss it. Many will not even receive the least reward because they will be cast out into outer darkness for their sins. Take heed to 2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Notice: by the power of God, you can cast out the spirits in your house.

Eve had a dream that Father was sweeping out the last remnants of dirt from the Bride’s new beautiful white house. In parallel the Bride, typed by Eve, was throwing the cats out of the house because they messed on the floor and would not kill the last few mice, representing their beastly flesh. Then she said

“I was complaining to the man (Whom she said was her Father) sweeping the floor as I went to throw the trash bag into the can on the porch and as I was walking towards the front door. The man was angry and disappointed at the cats and said to me, “I guess I’ll have to take away their reward.” He said this with sadness as he finally grabbed the dust pan and swept the last little pile of dirt into it to toss it outside. Then after the last sin and sinner left the house the reward was given; they moved into the larger house. Saints this sin and sinners have been holding up the reward. I encourage you to sanctify yourselves. Repent of sinful thoughts and ways and confess your sins and pray one for another that you be a part of the clean Bride so you will receive the reward of the larger white and holy house. This is like Esther moving to the Kings house after becoming pleasing unto Him. And the Shulamite or perfected one finding her King. This is all very clear; either the sin goes or the person goes.

Brethren, We are concentrating on getting cleaned up for the Lord and his rewards to the Bride. He has led us to have deliverance sessions for those who have asked in our local body and the brethren are taking advantage of this. You can do this in your family or group. 2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Everyone is making a list of their temptations which are also names of demons like rejection, fear, anger, faction, lust, etc. This is a way to confess sins, which God then promises to deliver you from in 1Jn 1:7-9 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We have been using this list from each person to quickly get to the deliverance of demons of known temptations and then forcefully commanding the demons which are left to give their names, in the name of Jesus, so we cast these unknown ones out too. They may speak their name in the mind or with the mouth of the person being delivered. So tell the person to cooperate and give the name if they hear it. These could be strange names from different languages of peoples or false God’s, etc., that they have inhabited through the centuries. They will obey you if you believe it. Also ask God for words of knowledge or wisdom and discerning of spirits too. You should command the demons to tell the truth, to not hide, to not move from place to place in the body of the person but come out in Jesus name. Sometimes they will manifest ways to try to stay by holding on to some part of the persons insides, which can be felt as pressure, pain, burning, tingling, etc. Father has been doing a tremendous job in our local body. There is much elation and rejoicing and testimonies of demons being removed that were received in childhood or inherited. They sometimes come out with various manifestations, coughing, yawning, gaging, physical feelings, etc. Don’t stand around and keep commanding them out for then they know you dont understand your authority and they will play games with you. Jesus didnt do this. Just forcefully give the command and move on to the next one. Some will come out immediately and others may come out for several days as long as you “Hold fast the confession of your hope that it waver not for He is faithful that promised” they will come out. When the person feels free in the meeting always pray for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit and exhort them to stay in the word for that drives out, and keeps out, demons.

We have received words from the Lord that God is giving a lot of grace right now for this cleansing process.

Deliverance in Tasmania

Riaan and Claire - 01/06/19

Dear David,

We have experienced many acts of deliverance while being in Tasmania, however recently Claire has been struggling with anger again over the past few weeks. Last Sunday she decided to fast for the week and almost immediately she had a headache that took over her whole head.

By Friday afternoon we were at a point of desperation. Even though we have commanded demons to leave many times for others as well as ourselves, this time it seemed we did not pray with authority. (Casting out individual demons is good but getting out all of their supporting demons in this manner is better and longer lasting) The demon showed itself to Claire as a green snake and only partly appeared, wanted to come out but didn’t. Every time it came out into the light it got burnt and thus receded.

We realized that we both suffered from anger even though we express it differently. Ironically this made me angry towards Claire as well as God (but as you will find out it only lasted about a day, ;)

On Saturday afternoon we listened to the teaching of Thursday May 30th regarding deliverance - how awesome is God that he planned that we listen to that specific teaching on this day?

Tonight we had a little deliverance session and prayed for each other. (We are the only two members of our fellowship when our kids are asleep ;) Before we started we confessed our sins to each other and also listed and forgave every one that we needed to.

Then we could speak with authority to a list of demons and they have all packed their bags and left our house. Claire’s headache (as well as mine) has disappeared and the nose dried up immediately.

We received Amos 3:5-7 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is set for him? shall a snare spring up from the ground, and have taken nothing at all? Shall the trumpet be blown in a city, and the people not be afraid? shall evil befall a city, and Jehovah hath not done it? Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, except he reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets.

We prayed for our kids to receive deliverance too. Here's a list of demons that no longer reside in these willing vessels: (You may think some of these things are just flesh and not demons but it doesnt make any difference. We were delivered of flesh too at the cross and have authority over it. Also many things are inherited through the blood lines but we have received the blood of Jesus which is pure.)

Riaan:
Rejection, Anger, Irritation, Hate, Racism, Greed, Rebellion, Lust, Lying, Impatience, Know-it-all, Laziness, Tiredness, Healing for ear, Healing for hip, Selfishness, Critical, Judgmental, Self-righteousness, Faction.

Claire:
Anger, Jealousy, James Dean (who knew?), Gluttony, Vanity, Lack of confidence, Over analyzing, Researching, Laziness, Tiredness, Controlling, Critical, Judgmental.

Micah:
Picking his skin, Bullying, Selfishness, Arguing, Vanity, Low Self Esteem, Silliness.

Tabitha:
Fairness, Victimhood, Vanity, Comparison, Disobedience, Sly, Over reacting.

Daniel:
Disobedience, Disrespect, Rebellion, Anger, Self-will, Whining, Tantrums.

WE both had dreams last night after deliverance.

Claire’s dream:

There was a big purple snake in an enclosure, however the enclosure did not have a ceiling or glass between us and it, instead it was gauze. This snake was able to transform into a middle-eastern looking girl who hid from us. (The Little girl may well be Clair’s fleshly fruit. Flesh as well as demons hide from us but their symptoms give them away. The names above are their nature.). After trying to catch the snake and it moving around continuously, it started coming through the vent (it became gas) (Representing: spirits coming into the house through unrepented sin.). At this point I turned to Riaan and said to him “This thing is playing games with us”. I commanded it out in Jesus’ name and it was gone. (Demons do many things to deceive us regarding their presence.)

Word received: Luke 12:46 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the unfaithful. (So we must be diligent to keep our house clean of all defilements of flesh and spirit because God could come any day for us.) And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more. (When we know of sin we are responsible to apply the sword of the spirit and the blood to it.)

Riaan’s dream:

I was getting into a boxing ring for a bare-fist match. My opponent was a plain looking middle-aged woman. She was quite chatty. Despite my best punches, jabs, uppercuts big swings all landing fairly well, it didn’t move or phase her an inch. I looked at the crowd in disbelief and they all seemed to agree and wait eagerly for something to happen.

We believe this woman is wisdom. (If so, many of our actions and words are against her, as exhibited by boxing with her. But she will endure and be there for us if we will listen.) She was not able to fall, but stayed upright against the attacks. Afterward Claire heard she should look at Proverbs four as I was telling her the dream: Pro 4:6-7 Forsake her not, and she will preserve thee; Love her, and she will keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding.

Many blessings and we trust this will bring joy to the brethren. Thank you for sharing the Word, the truth. It builds up our faith as always. God is a wonderful deliverer.
