Sanctification or Holiness are translated from the same Greek word, Hagiasmos.
Saints means holy or sanctified ones. We are this by faith and are coming into this manifestation.
1Co 1:2 unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even
them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours:
It is the “Holy” “Spirit” of God who empowers us to be holy to manifest our Sonship.
Rom 1:4 who was
declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the
resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord,
Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Act 2:38 And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the
remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Act 19:2 and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so
much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was given.
1Ti 2:8 I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.
1Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting
on apparel; 4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit, which is
in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned
themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
Sanctification/Holiness is a Necessity for salvation.
Heb 12:14 Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:
1Co 6:9 Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye were
washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our
God.
Rev 21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for
her husband.
Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our
confession, even Jesus;
By Faith in the sacrifice of Jesus we are sanctified/holy.
Act 26:18 to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they
may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
Heb 10:10 By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the
end eternal life.
1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification,
and redemption:
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the brother:
else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
Col 1:22 yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and
unreproveable before him:
2Ti 1:9 who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose
and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,
We have responsibilities in manifesting sanctification/holiness.
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Eph 4:24 and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members as
servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness
unto sanctification.
1Pe 1:15 but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living; 16 because it is
written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.
Heb 10:29 of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the
Spirit of grace?
Eph 5:26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
1Pe 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling
of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication; 4 that each one of you
know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, … 7 For God called us not for uncleanness,
but in sanctification.
1Ti 2:15 but she shall be saved through her child-bearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with
sobriety.
1Pe 3:15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a
reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:
Col 3:12 Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness,
longsuffering;
2Pe 3:11 Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy living
and godliness,
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
1Th 5:26 Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
Sanctification/holiness is Necessary before ministering to others.
Joh 10:36 say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the
Son of God?
Joh 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
Rom 11:16 And if the firstfruit is holy, so is the lump: and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
Rom 15:16 that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the
offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, meet for the master's
use, prepared unto every good work.
Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to
call them brethren,
Heb 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Tit 1:7-9 For the bishop must be blameless, as God's steward; not self-willed, not soon angry, no brawler, no striker,

holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the sound
doctrine, and to convict the gainsayers.
1Pe 2:5 ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual
sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. … 9 But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people for God's own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light:
1Co 7: 29 But this I say, brethren, the time is shortened, that henceforth both those that have wives may be as though
they had none… 33 but he that is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife, 34 and is
divided. So also the woman that is unmarried and the virgin is careful for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy
both in body and in spirit: but she that is married is careful for the things of the world, how she may please her
husband. 35 And this I say for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is seemly, and
1Co 7: 29 But this I say, brethren, the time is shortened, that henceforth both those that have wives may be as though
that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
Heb 7:26 For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the
heavens;
God is Able to get us there quickly with our cooperation
Luk 1:73-75 The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father, 74 To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand
of our enemies Should serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
Act 20:32 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you the
inheritance among all them that are sanctified.
2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you
from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1Th 3:13 to the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our
Lord Jesus with all his saints.
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
Rom 1:1-2 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 which he
promised afore through his prophets in the holy scriptures,
1Th 5:23 And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire,
without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 1:4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before
him in love:
Eph 5:27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Heb 9:13-15 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled,
sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for
this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the
transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal
inheritance.
Heb 12:10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be
partakers of his holiness.
Heb 9:2 For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein were the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread;
which is called the Holy place. 3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies;
Those who wait too late reprobate
Rev 22:11 He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still:
and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still.
2Pe 2:21 For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back
from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
1Co 3:17 If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.
