The Lord Is OUR Shepherd - UBM [David Eells]

We hear the foot steps of the enemy approach, BUT remember, God has stood up from HIS throne to judge the earth. The enemy can do only what God ordained from before the foundations of the earth.

The Lord is OUR shepherd (in the midst of us His sheep. What relief. What blessing.)

we shall not want (Lord, we believe, help our unbelief. We more than expect, we are confident that from before the foundations of the earth, You provided all we would need in these years ahead.)

He maketh us to lie down in green pastures (Yes, Lord; Your Holy spirit comforts, provides us good things. We have peace in You even now, and forevermore.)

He leads us beside still waters (Isa. 26:20 Come, my people, enter into your rooms and close your doors behind you. Hide for a little while until indignation runs its course.) (Isa. 27:2-5 In that day, a vineyard of wine, sing of it; I the Lord am its keeper; I water it every moment. So that no one will damage it. I guard it night and day. I have no wrath. Should someone give Me briars and thorns in battle, then I would step on them, I would turn them completely. Or, let him rely on My protection. Let him make peace with Me.) Jesus, you are ever so near. Jesus, our place is with YOU. We will sing Your praises forever.

He restoreth our souls (Gird our loins with Your truth, Your Word, and we shall overcome the enemy.) (II Chron. 20 What does God tell His people as the enemy approaches? "Put on My Holy attire, then stand and see My salvation". All He requires is that we confess our sins, repent our hearts to our father, and He is able and willing and just to forgive us all our sins; we then are able to stand in His holy attire that is Jesus' righteousness, then just watch HIM work; see HIS salvation through us.)

Yea though we walk thru the valley of the shadow of death (KEEP YOUR EYES ON the PRIZE - eternity with the Holy God of Israel, JESUS CHRIST, no matter what the test or the trial appears to be)

we will fear no evil (Satan is trying SO hard to scare us and get our minds off our Intercessor and Provision Jesus Christ. We love you, Lord. Yes, Satan's evil has strength, but only as God allows. Isa. 26:21 For behold, the LORD IS about to come out from His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. As God's children, WE have all knowledge, all power, all authority over the darkness, as God allows, at the time God deems. Rest in that. It is done. It is our destiny.)

For Thou art with us (We are at peace in that knowledge moment to moment; thank you, Lord, for You have revealed Your love, provision, Your VERY PRESENCE to us.)

Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort us (You are God; You have and will meet all our needs; and we are comforted by Your tender ministrations.

Thou preparest a table before us in the presence of our enemies (We are unworthy, but we are your children, Lord. We have tested Your provision, reckless at times, Lord, and never once have you failed us; You continue to provide in the face of anything the enemy brings. We are so thankful, Jesus.)

Thou anointest our heads with oil (Your Holy Spirit covers us and we are awash in Your love; You have given us Your supernatural protection.)

Our cup runneth over (Can we know the unfathomable depths of You, Lord God? Your Holy Spirit is a fountain of love divine that flows forevermore from our spirits, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against that love. Beloved, you are our portion.)

surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life (This is Your promise, merciful God.)

and we shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever (What is the worst that can happen? We die to awaken in the arms of our God. Oh glory!!)
