Healed Hard Drive

Bob Aicardi - 05/21/2007

On May the 9th, I woke up and was very much aware of the amount of work that needed to be completed prior to my beginning vacation the following Monday. I had files that needed to be printed out for a meeting the next morning with engineers at the Lynn Have Trane facility in Panama City, Florida. I turned my computer on as usual and immediately my hard drive began to labor with most significant rpm variations in speed till the RPM completely stopped. Immediately the thought came to my mind that this sounded as if my hard drive was crashing. The load on the hard drive was causing my monitor to fade in and out and terrible noises were coming from the hard drive as it would attempt to get up to speed only to be dragged back down to a stop. The Windows operating system would not load and with repeated attempts to restart each subsequent try brought me to a complete state of crash-and-burn. I thought to myself, isn't this a hoot, two days before vacation with my leaving out in the morning for Panama City and lots of work needing to get caught up, including UBBS counseling alone, and now this. I had a failed hard drive on my hands and needed to act fast to try to resolve the matter. I began trying to recover onto my lap top some of the information and files I needed that were up on my corporate site but it took nearly a hour-and-a-half of attempts to get things working right with my computer as I tried to bypass my crashed desktop computer.

Well, I just knew I had to move quickly so I called David to inquire if his son Justin was by chance off that day. At this point in my mind I felt the hard drive was history and what my options were depended more upon what David's son Justin would inform me of and suggest. Well, I repent! I had skipped right on over to panic mode, never considering that God could or would consider to heal my hard drive. David informed me that Justin was at work and said, "Well, I guess we should pray!" I agreed, suddenly realizing the absolute mess I was finding myself in and that indeed I needed the Lord's help completely in this matter. Upon praying we said our good-byes and I went back to attempting to get my computer restored. Well, I sat down and prayed and pondered the mess I was in and cried out in prayer, asking the Lord to help me. Well, I pushed the start up and for the first time was accompanied by all kinds of noises... the windows program began to format and load. I was speaking faith to my computer that it was healed. I knew that when the computer again crashed that it was not God but me that lacked the necessary faith mixed with God's word that was necessary on my part for God to restore my computer. I have time and time again had to go back to my Father and ask him to give me the needed faith...

Just then the phone rang and it was David. I told him I thought we had it when the Windows program began to load but ultimately the hard drive crashed and burned again. He suggested I go up on the site and read the two testimonies by Kevin R. concerning software and hard drive failures.

I felt it was time to put my mind to the work of bringing forth faith in order to receive the promise of God. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. I read the two testimonies and pondered every scripture. I know that it is impossible for God to lie and that He guarantees His promises by His Word. I knew the problem had to be in me and that was why the last attempt failed. Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. Having finished Kevin's testimonies, I laid my hands on my computer and commanded it to be healed in the name of Jesus. I prayed and came to the point of faith and knew that no matter what I saw or heard with my eyes that my computer was healed. Before closing out on the testimony I read how Kevin had heard the Lord speak to him when he had planned to get a hair cut and delay the start up until he returned. The Lord spoke against his procrastination and lack of faith saying, "If you believe I have healed the hard drive, then what are you waiting for...For me". I had just spent a hour-and-a-half getting my laptop up to speed to recover some of the items I was going to need for my meetings and was not all to anxious to have to start over with that process again should the computer fail on its next attempted start up. I saw the snare that was laid before me and rebuked Satan and cast down those thoughts that were causing me to delay. I realized that all that remained was an exercise in faith on my part. I sat in my chair and convinced myself that I was going to ride this thing thru to the end in faith that no matter what I saw, heard or smelled that I was going to believe that because I was not under the curse that Jesus took the curse of this dead hard drive upon Him at the cross. I envisioned myself sitting in a shuttle launch seat as I pushed the button for start up. Immediately the computer began to make terrible noises and could not get up to speed with the RPM. I kept speaking in my mind, It is healed. It is healed. It is healed. Just when the RPM started to take off smoothly and strongly it was as if someone pressed on a break pedal to the hard drive and with that the Lord put the words in my mouth proclaiming, "I DO NOT RECEIVE THAT!" As soon as those words were spoken my computer began to hum like a finely tuned instrument. All the dragging and noise and low RPM switched the instant I placed my hand upon it and it went to immediate precision. Praise God. As soon as my computer went into smooth cruise mode a message popped up on my computer saying, "THIS COMPUTER HAS JUST FINISHED A MAJOR SYSTEM CORRECTION"!!! Inside of me I was screaming, God is AWESOME! Is there anything our God cannot do???? Psalms 71:3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Although the Lord has given me countless healings, deliverances and blessings at the hands of faith in His promises, I have come to understand that for myself it is most easy to pass by a blessing that the Father has in store for His sons mainly because I have neglected to recognize that our heavenly Father cares even about our computers and it pleases Him when we exercise authority over the curse on this earth as we walk in trials of faith and sonship. The Lord tells us that if we ask not we receive not and that 2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. It honors our Father when we bring our petitions to Him before we run to Egypt.
