Kaile Hamilton - 03/28/2011 My mom and I just moved to a new house, so we have spent some time unpacking. During the first few days of us unpacking, I realized that I had a few bumps on my arms that were kind of itchy. I automatically thought of ants that I had seen on the sidewalk one day when I was walking the dogs, so I just thought that I must have been bitten. So, I didn't think much more about it and went on with my day. A few days went by and then I realized my arms were becoming even itchier and I saw that the bumps were spreading. I began to think that I was having an allergic reaction to something but automatically thought that I couldn't be having a reaction since the Lord healed me of all of my allergies in 2007. So, I just rebuked the thought and didn't accept it. A couple more days went by and it was starting to bother me even more. All I could think about was the itching. So, I asked my mom and grandfather to look at it and they both agreed that it looked like I was having an allergic reaction to something. As soon as that was confirmed to me, we rebuked the contact dermatitis and commanded it to go in the name of Jesus, since I was no longer under the curse. That same night the itching stopped, praise the Lord! Soon after that, I, unfortunately, fell back into my flesh and began trying to figure out what I had done that caused it; in essence, what I was allergic to. I ended up taking a few days off of getting the house in order to see if unpacking the boxes had anything to do with it. Some of the bumps went away but there were still some that lingered and the itching started again. After the third day of not doing anything in the house, I realized that I was trying to get well by my own strength. That night it was confirmed to me that was what I was doing because the Lord gave me this Scripture: (Zec.4:6) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. I immediately repented for not standing firm in my faith and confession of being healed. When I woke up the next morning, the itching had stopped and most of the bumps were gone. The day after, all the bumps were gone. Thank you, Lord! So, I started unpacking again and soon after I unpacked my first box, I started itching again. I immediately stopped and told my mom that it was the packing paper causing the allergic reaction. Thankfully, the Lord reminded me of this Scripture: (Heb.10:23) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for He is faithful that promised. I repented for saying that and said, "I do not have allergies, so I have no reason to have an allergic reaction. Thank you, Jesus". Immediately the itching stopped and I have had no trouble ever since. I learned that He is faithful. All I need to do is keep my eyes on Him and stand firm in my faith. God is so good. Not only does He give us these moments to stand in awe of the promises that we have through Jesus, but He gently and sometimes not so gently nudges us toward the way we should go. Praise His holy name FOREVER!
