Jack Sims - May 2009 It started in the summer of 2005. I started feeling a stinging and/or numbness on the right side of my groin. It would come and go. At the same time that this was going on, I was standing on the Word for a new heart. I was diagnosed with mitral value prolapse, congestive heart failure, enlarged heart, high blood pressure, hole in bottom chamber and erratic heartbeat. So when the stinging and numbness started in my groin, my first thought was blood clot. I know better than to think that, "For as I think in my heart so am I". (Proverbs 23:7). Then fear set in and I wouldn't tell my wife, Jane. She was already standing so strong with me on all the heart problems. I guess I feared she might not be able to take any more. The devil tricked me. If I had told her from the start, we would have been coming against it like we did when I would have all the symptoms of heart attack and stroke. We got heart attack and stroke symptoms off of me every time without calling 911. We did it by using the Word. The Word has never let us down if we stand. The Word says, "Cursed is the man that trusts in man and makes flesh his strength". (Jeremiah 17:5). After a while, I noticed a bump would come up in my lower abdomen. I could press on it or lie down and it would go away. Then the bump got bigger and it was time to tell my wife and get to fighting the enemy. By this time, the devil had a good foothold. I repented, we prayed, we rebuked the devil, bound him up and cast him out. So again, when the stinging and numbness started, I never prayed or rebuked the devil. I never used the Word on it. Like I said, the devil tricked me good. If you don't know what an inguinal hernia is, it's a hernia in the groin area. My intestines were pushing through an opening between my lower abdomen and my thigh. The worst part was it was going into my scrotum and getting between the size of a baseball and softball. It was out, full-blown, most every day. When I went to bed sometimes it would go back in. First thing in the morning, when I got out of bed, it would come out, then or shortly thereafter. Most of the time it was very painful and hard to deal with throughout the day. It was almost impossible to bend over. I could not squat down. It was very slow getting in and out of my truck. Sitting down was slow going. Sometimes I would get pain that would bend me over and put me on the floor. Jane and I would rebuke the demon of pain and it would leave. After about a year, I bought a hernia belt. That helped a lot during the next year. Then it didn't matter if I had the belt on or not, it would still come out around the belt. I guess at that point, you could say the hernia was real bad. During these four years, I was still dealing with heart trouble and also a lower back problem. This kept me in the Word of God more than any other time in my life. I thank God for what I've been through. He said, "In everything give thanks". (1 Thessalonians 5:18). I only see a doctor about once a year for my heart and have been on three heart drugs for the last seven years. They told me, without surgery, I had a 50% chance of dying the first year. I had a doctor visit a few months ago and the doctor said positive things about my heart and condition and he acted a little surprised. I've spoken to the mountains in my life and not about them, according to Mark 11:23-24. In March of 2009, I talked to Bill Wagner, who has a heart testimony on the UBM site. He helped me a lot and told me the teachings of David Eells that I needed to be listening to. He even sent me an MP3 player and a bunch of CDs of UBM Bible studies. I listen to them almost every night. Then, in May, it happened. NO MORE HERNIA. HALLELUJAH! What happened was, it started to come out less and less until the end of May and it was over. I didn't tell anyone for weeks but Jane. Then, Sunday, June 21st it came back with a vengeance. It was the worst it had ever been and the most pain I had ever felt in my life. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). He came to test me and see if I would waver and take it back. I rolled on the floor for three hours. I screamed, I hollowed, I gritted my teeth; we rebuked demons, bound and cast out demons and, still, I thought I was going to pass out because of the pain. But from the beginning of this ordeal, I felt like God wanted me to go to sleep. I would think, How could anyone go to sleep with all this pain? But finally I made myself start relaxing and I went to sleep for over 1 1/2 hrs. When I awoke, I immediately felt for the hernia and it was GONE! And no more pain! Now over four months later, no sign of that stinking hernia. Hallelujah and Praise God forever. Jesus is my Healer and Miracle Worker. Every time I have stood on the Healing Scriptures and not wavered, I have gotten healed. Sometimes it's instant and sometimes it takes time. Time doesn't bother me. It makes me stronger in the Word and builds my faith. I could go on and on praising God for what He has done for me. I do that every day when I think, NO PAIN and I can move like a normal person. Thanks be to God! I give God all the glory for this healing. With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Loving and joyfully serving the King of Kings...
