Love Never Fails

Marty Kaeding - 05/12/2010

Hello, brethren. I have been listening and enjoy being a part of the family. I have not shared a testimony before, but after listening to Sunday night's teaching, I felt the Lord leading me to share something that happened about 10 years ago.

The Lord is so gracious to us and works in us His will without any help from us! Sometimes we make things more difficult than they have to be.

Anyway, here is how His grace worked in me one day: There was this very angry, vengeful, hateful man who wanted my family to know how he felt about us. (There is a long story behind this, but I won't go into that now.) I had not actually met this man and had no interaction with him. Well, one day he came to the shop where I work and asked if he could talk to me. I said a little prayer and followed him outside. He began to rail against my family -- how we were nothing and how he was going to kill my brother (in detail) and on and on he went. Not a friendly word in the tirade! All at once, there was this peace that completely enveloped me; all I could feel for this man was compassion and love. Tears just flowed down my face. I could feel the Lord completely surround me! It was the most amazing experience. I simply let this man say everything he wanted to and all I could do was love him! Eventually, he softened and just looked at me and apologized, and said he really didn't know why he came to me. I knew! He left a different man than he came! Praise the Lord! He can do anything! If that is what it is to be in the Lord, I want it ALL the time!

Thank you to all of you for what you do -- the encouragement and love you give to all of us who listen. Can't wait to see you all face to face!
